"I was so bored at the wedding."
"I was so boring at the wedding."
One tiny ending, and you go from the guest who wants to leave to the guest everyone wants to leave. 😬
This one comes up in my lessons all the time, usually when a student is telling me about their weekend.
Here's the rule:
-ED = how you feel. (I'm bored. I'm confused. I'm surprised.)
-ING = what causes the feeling. (The film is boring. The instructions are confusing.)
So if your dad shows up to your graduation with a megaphone and your baby photos, he isn't embarrassed. He's embarrassing.
There's a little quiz at the end of the video, 4 questions. Answer out loud before I do, then tell me in the comments: how many did you get right? And be honest, which one tripped you up?
